Brandon Toepper, Electrical Professional Engineer

Teppics is founded and led by Brandon Toepper, a former active duty US Marine and Electrical Professional Engineer.

Leveraging his knowledge and leadership experience from the military, Brandon graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago in Electrical Engineering and jumped straight into a career developing power, telecommunications, and security designs. In 2016, Teppics expanded its services to include Mechanical and Plumbing Engineering also.

Brandon founded Teppics Engineering to provide something more than his “big box” corporate competitors – personalized service. Teppics prides itself on its attention to detail and reliability.

James Higgins, Mechanical Professional Engineer

James joined Teppics to provide Mechanical and Plumbing Design services.  James graduated from the University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Construction Engineering and Management.  He is also a licensed Journeyman Electrician and a certified Construction Document Technologist (CDT).  James has over twelve years of experience in engineering and design and over seventeen years of experience in construction.

James has extensive experience with construction documents, including design standards, specifications, drawings, contract documents, as well as construction codes and regulations, including state and federal energy requirements, ASHRAE Standards, International Building Code, International Mechanical Code, International Plumbing Code, and the National Electrical Code.

James’ thorough knowledge of construction and design have enabled him to provide high quality designs with an understanding of how the mechanical and plumbing systems interface with other disciplines and how these systems come together in the field while keeping in mind requirements for future maintenance.
